Granite chessboard from customer salvaged countertop material mounted on a naturally shaped granite pedestal. Chessboard was etched into polished surface by sandblasting and the slab is supported with a 1/4” steel plate and 7/8” steel pin connected to the pedestal. 2012This vessel sink was created from a large gneiss boulder that came from the customers lakeside property. The exterior of the boulder was lightly sandblasted to maintain the naturally rough surface and the interior of the bowl was high polished. 2010These table supports made from Kingston area limestone were fashioned to support a large wooden table top to be used for preparing plants and were to be connected with a 4” x 4” timber. Stainless steel pins(3/4”) were drilled and epoxied into the stone. 2012Large granite boulder(6' across) was reshaped for symmetry by removing a large section on the upper right and sandblasted to blend in. Stone bowl titled “Creekside”; This stone bowl was carved out of an altered gabbro boulder from a local farm property. A young couple who were attracted to my stone bowls liked the idea of having one from their own land. I worked with the lovely young lady of the couple to gather a number of stones from their heritage property and chose this one for it's striking patterns. The bowl finished at 13½” x 8¼ x 4” high and it just so happened that the initial of their surname was plainly evident in the finished piece!
